Dr. Munoz creates an opening class discussion on My Favorite Teacher From the Past, which allows students to not only connect to the overall course focus (preparing students to teach in higher education), but also provides a space for reflection and forward thinking pertaining to their own personal course relevancy and future careers as teachers.
